Pretty Paintings (& a giveaway)

May 6, 2013

This giveaway is now closed.

Congrats to the winner: #570 Sharon Depcinski

You all know I still think I’m going to be a great painter someday.  And, when/if I am, I want to paint like Hillary.

Image of "Strawberry Fields"  { 36" x 36" }

Hillary Butler is super talented and paints exactly how I would, if I could paint.  Her art is colorful and dreamy, traditional and a little modern—all at the same time.  Here are a few of her pieces in clients’ homes:

All images via Hillary’s blog.

I also love the small canvases she sells in her shop.  They’re 12 x12 (and under $100), making them a sweet size for a little vignette, or great for grouping together:

And, since art can be an investment, she also offers a “see it on your wall” service to help you envision what one of her paintings would look like in your room before you buy:

Hillary is giving one of my readers a $100 gift certificate to be used towards any painting in her shop or custom piece of artwork. (Expires May 3, 2014, and does not apply towards shipping.)

To enter, use the RaffleCopter form below.  Good luck!

PS—Her blog is a great read, too.  (And, it further convinces me that I’m destined to be a painter when I grow up.)

    I love that red 12×12….how genius is it that she will “show” you what it would look like! Love that!

    I actually think I prefer the more abstract pieces you shared at the bottom of the post, but then, I’ve always leaned towards the abstract and unusual.
