A really pretty—and just casual enough—home tour.
This is day five of no diet drinks for me. This is major. These are helping.
Went here for the first (and second) time this week. Fun pieces and the prices are pretty reasonable.
A little birthday celebration on the patio and one of my favorite moments of the week.
A regular house with great style. Go here and click on “Wynnwood.”
20 Things you probably never wanted to know about me…
Emily, I just wanted to encourage you. I gave up sodas almost 2 years ago, and it was incredibly hard. I had been drinking Diet Coke like it was my job for about 10 years. Now I rarely have one as a treat, and it doesn’t even taste as good as it used to! YOU CAN DO IT!!!!! :)
Thank you, Meredith. I’ve been a diet coke/diet dr. pepper addict for years.
Love your Saturday six and also, your patio is absolutely lovely! Looks like it gets lots of use!
These were a treat! I’m a few days into no diet soda, too. Thanks for the sparkling water tip! Love both the homes you featured (and your patio party), and the 20 questions were fun. Have a great weekend!
Emily, once you stop and get over the withdrawal soda will taste weird to you! It happened to me. I used to drink soda all the time and now can’t drink it to save my life! But I am not about to give up coffee! : )

Keep going on the keep away from soda kick! You can do it! I’ve found some great alternatives in Celestial ‘Brew over ice’ tea (with a little squirt of agave nectar if you find the need to be ‘bad’), Avitae caffeinated water (a life saver for this little caffeine fiend) and Mash (a low calorie water drink with my fave being the mango and blood orange).
Between your back patio and the Wynnsong home, I am drooling big time. Gorgeous yummy spaces, thanks for sharing!
I gave up soda in college (I’ll still have maybe 3-4 a year with pizza… gotta have soda with pizza), and seltzers help me so much!! I love the grapefruit and lime flavors by LaCroix. A little more pricey when not on sale, but tastes like summer :) Keep at it!
Gorgeous entryway. I love the lacquer ceiling! We also have a Nadeau coming to Raleigh in May! I can’t wait to check it out!
Love that family photo of the entire “Clark Clan” including kitty Clark! And I will fight you for the sour patch kids…one of my fav’s too! Have a great weekend…
The Wynnsong house is my late grandmother’s style. It made me miss her in a good way.
Hubby and I gave up soda and now we share a 12 ounce can on Saturday night with pizza and oddly it is all we want for the week. You can do it too!
Love the family on the patio!
Ugh…I am a diet Coke addict too…drinking one right now. I know it’s bad and I need to stop. Especially cause I don’t want my daughter picking up my bad habits…it’s hard though.
I want to know how you’re weaning yourself off of the Diet Coke! It’s my only vice, and I know it’s not good for me! Would love to hear how you got rolling on this!
Well, it’s only been a week… I just know all of the artificial sweetener cannot be good for me, so I decided to try. The carbonated water is working for me. Maybe I’m mainly addicted to carbonation?? I’m still drinking (a lot of) coffee in the morning, but I’m missing my caffeine throughout the day. I’ll let you all know how it goes. Putting it on your blog somehow makes you feel more accountable :)
omg, i give you seriously kudos for giving up the diet drinks. I don’t think i could do it! and i love your outside patio with that lime green mirror…of course, I wouldn’t expect anything less!
You might have already shared this…but would love to know where you got your outdoor chairs that go around your table. Good luck on the Diet Cokes…I admire you as I’m not that brave to give them up yet!
We bought the chairs at Hobby Lobby, but it’s been a few years ago.

Hi Emily!
You might give LaCroix sparkling waters a try, too, while trying to ween yourself off of soda. They sell them at most regular grocery stores. My favorites are Coconut, Lime, and Grapefruit! :) Good luck!
