And, this is why I love my readers. Not only did you all give me tons of great recommendations yesterday (thank you!), but you even did my shopping for me. One reader commented that she had spotted this navy sectional at the Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams Outlet a couple of weeks ago, and sent me this picture from their Facebook page:
And, suddenly, I went from thinking about buying a charcoal gray sectional to a navy sectional being all I ever wanted. Isn’t it funny how your whole room idea can change when you see the right piece?
I am a determined woman when I want to be. So, after calling the store to confirm it was still there, I packed up the babies earlier today and we made the hour trip to Hickory (NC)—“the furniture capital of the world.” (I should go there more often.)
My terrible phone picture makes it look purple, but it’s actually a velvety midnight blue and so comfortable. I’m pretty sure the sales guy thought I was crazy. I walked in, parked the stroller, sat on two of the cushions and told him I’d take it. (His easy sale of the day. You’re welcome.) Shopping with two ten-month-olds can make you very decisive.
And, now, I’m reassuring myself by looking at some great images of rooms with navy upholstery. There are a lot of possibilities.
By the way, if you’re in the market for a sectional (or even a sofa), too, the comments under yesterday’s post are a great resource. Thanks again for your help.
