It’s a Springtime tradition in our town to take pictures on this little lane that’s filled with cherry blossom blooms for a short time every year. It feels like a scene out of a storybook when you’re there. There are few days when the blooms are white so you have to be quick. (I completely missed it last year. . .)
So, even though we had driven through the night from Kentucky the night before and didn’t get home until 4:30 am, I was determined to get my kids dressed in “real clothes” this past weekend and drag them to the pretty trees. It’s a popular spot. We had to dodge a couple’s engagement photo session while we were there (which I’m sure they appreciated. . . Our brood probably scared them to death. ).
Our family has changed a lot since our last photo session there, which I had turned into a canvas.
And, on another note, Mohawk chose the winner of the their SmartStrand rug giveaway earlier this week. A big congrats to the winner for my blog: Andrea Schrickel!
So lovely!
You have a beautiful family!
Those in the tree lined lane are extra gorgeous! Helps that you have such cute subjects. :) Seems like the little one has made peace with the fact that she doesn’t get to hold a baby…so sweet!
Oh, how precious! Those trees are beautiful and what a great tradition to have. :)
Adorable! I’m local–where is this beautiful spot?
Email me and I’ll send you directions :)

Wow, the trees and the street looks magical with those white flowers. Your kids look beautiful as usual.

Boy YOU are dedicated! You would have to blast me out of bed if I went down at 4:30 AM…..beautiful family!
Those kiddos of yours are so adorable, every one! Impressive that you do that almost yearly – such a pretty spot.
This has to be one of my favorite pictures of the children. Those trees are so gorgeous!!!!
Emily, I just want to say, it is a treat and a privilege to watch your littles grow up. They are really beautiful, thank you for sharing them!

awe so sweet! I grew up in Charlotte, but have lived in the Atlanta area since 1983… where in Charlotte is this sweet place? will have to visit when I’m in town
That is a gorgeous place!! If you don’t mind me asking where exactly is it? My sister lives in Huntersville and we usually go up to visit during spring break and visit Freedom Park where we use all of the cherry trees as our picture backdrop but I love the little road traveling through the trees for maybe next year. And lucky you to get so many pictures with all of your kids looking at the camera! I can’t even get 2 out of my 3 to look at the same time!

Cute kids and gorgeous photos! I am so impressed you got them to look at the camera and smile! You either have happy kids, good luck or lots of tricks up your sleeve.
Wow, that place is stunning! And you take really great pictures!! Knowing from experience (with only 2) I don’t know how you managed to get them to all look and smile at the same time.
Too cute.
Adorable! I pull out the camera and my son runs away!! :)

Gorgeous family, and such a beautiful location!
I adore the pictures in the lane–so timeless. I checked out your post of your canvas, and I love it. The flowers and kids look beautiful even in black and white.
There’s a girl in these photos with no bow in her hair!
