How to avoid the “room in a can” look.
My post on Oreck’s blog about how to dress up (and customize) inexpensive window treatments.
Latest goodness from Milk & Honey Home.
Found this “how to” on Pinterest for making sour patch grapes. I’m going to give it a try, even though I’m a little hesitant after the gummy worm experience. . .
Julie gives step by step directions on how to replicate this Anthropologie vase by melting and painting plastic spoons. Honestly, I just think it would be fun to melt some spoons.
(By the way, this was one of the submissions for the Working With What You Have link party. I’m working my way through reading every single one of them. Keep them coming! Link up ends on Thursday.)
The recovered green ottomans are coming in very handy as baby gates these days. It’s getting harder and harder to keep up with my little fuzzy heads. (Something about this picture reminds me of Bert and Ernie.)
Have a great weekend,
Love these 6, great as I go window treatment shopping today!
Thanks, Emily, for including my vase! Great ideas here!
Love that vase- what a neat idea! Great list! And love those little fuzzy heads peeking out, so sweet!
Love that first room! It’s one of my favorites! Have a great weekend! XOXO
That last picture is the best! Love those fuzzy heads!

Aww, those fuzzy heads are too cute! I also think melting plastic spoons would be fun – but I’ll probably end up burning myself…

So glad you shared Julie’s vase! I went through most of the submissions on the link party and hers was my favorite, too. I can’t believe those are plastic spoons!
Those fuzzy little heads just crack me up! And yes, Bert and Ernie seem to be a perfect reference! Love your Saturday Six!
Very cute!
That fuzzy hair is so sweet and adorable! That made my day! :) I can’t believe that was melted spoons on that vase! I thought it was a real flower petal.
Hahaha..That last photo is adorable!!
All 6 are great tips! Fuzzy heads and all! Nice way to begin a weekend.
Awww, love the Bert and Ernie anology – perfect! I also can’t believe those are melted spoons. I think if I attempted that, they would look like melted spoons instead of a flower :(
We use our ottomans as baby gates too! They come in so handy :)

Oh my gosh those fuzzy little heads are adorable!
Make the grapes! They are impossible to mess up and my kids go crazy for them!
Love the Saturday 6.
Fuzzy heads are darling. Bert and Ernette. ;)
LOve number 6 too! So freakin cute and FUNNY!
As soon as I saw pic #5, I thought, “Hey! How funny–I totally pinned the same project earlier this week.” And THEN I remembered I pinned it via your link-up party and realized that what I orginally thought was an amazing coincidence actually made perfect sense. : D
Thanks for being a blogging inspiration!
I just love those fuzzy heads. I have a 12.5 month old with very similar wispy hair and she refuses to keep a clip
In it
Those fuzzy heads are the cutest! Thanks for the shout out Emily!
Oh that last pic is the sweetest. Reminds me of two bear ears!

Those 2 little fuzzy heads are so adorable, even the tops of their little heads. lol
#1 is so perfect. I agree with all her points completely. In our 20s my husband and I were so excited to buy nice quality furniture suites for our living room and bedroom. In my 30s I was so happy to replace them with mix and match pieces purchased from various places, of various styles, and of various eras. So much better!
Love that first photo! beautiful soft and cozy living room :)
