Easy Fall Decorating

October 3, 2012

Our mantel has sat bare for the last couple of months, and with all of the fall mantel decorating popping up on blogs lately, I decided to grab some things from around our house and yard to get going.   Fall is the perfect season to borrow accessories from nature.

Emily, less is sometime much more! Each piece careful chosen can make a much more sophisticated statement. Your mantle is the perfect example!

Beautiful – I’m inspired! I have some branches and pinecones and acorns and cloches to work with…

Can you give us some ideas on how to make your kitchen look like fall? Never know what to put in the middle of the kitchen table.

I love the look of dough bowls (like the one I posted here: http://emilyaclark.blogspot.com/2012/07/stylish-strategies-for-clearing-clutter.html) any time of the year, but I think they look great for Fall filled with pinecones, apples or pears.

    Hi Emily:

I love your blog. It is a must read for me. I love the subtle fall touches, how you make it look like fall without the orange color and without a pumpkin. I love the bird and the purple book.

I started blogging as of yesterday and oddly enough I posted about fall decor too, in my very second blog post. If you have the time I would love it if you can check it out. My blog is called truthgraceandlife.blogspot.com

So pretty, Emily. Being able to bring the outdoors in (for free!) is just the best!

Your mantle is so simple and beautiful. I love the natural branches and the different height of the candles.
