When Holly, one of my sponsors and owner of the office style and organization company See Jane Work, asked if we would like to use some of her products for an office makeover, I couldn’t think of anyone more deserving than my trusty assistant/friend Katie. (She’s the best! She handles all of the sponsor-related emails for my blog and is super on top of things.)
Katie is a busy mom and like many of us, her “office” ended up being in her kitchen nook, in the middle of the house:
The wallpaper was installed by the home’s previous owner, and Katie is trying to work around it for now. To downplay it a little, a memo board was installed across the length of the desk. (I’ll share her tutorial for this tomorrow.) To freshen things up, we changed out the desk chair to something more neutral and used lots of simple, white office products from the See Jane Work Basics line. This is the result:
These are some of the fabulous products we used to get her desktop organized:
Letter Box (great for hiding away desktop clutter!)
Basic Art Boxes (a pretty way to save the kids’ art and school work)
A big thanks to See Jane Work for getting Katie’s desk as organized as she keeps me on a daily basis!
Great job, E! Love how you included the wall length memo board! Though I did like the blue chair, the slip covered chair brightened up the space. Love the styling too! Hey Katie, you need a post-it on your computer that says email Lakeitha:-)
Happy Monday ladies!
I love the fabric tacks…is that strange?
I am sure Katie is loving her new space!!
Yay Katie! What a cute and darling space to work in for a cute and darling assistant! xo
The crisp modern white accessories against the textured memo board are perfect!
Oh this is perfectly timed … I am finally attacking my office, which is in the unfinished basement … I need lots of room to spread out! Thank you for introducing me to See Jane Work!
I’ve browsed See Jane Work a few times but I think I need to re-browse and get myself a few things to get organized. What a great update – I love the big burlap board that covers the wall lengthwise like that. And the letterbox is also great. She is a lucky gal.
Great job. My mother in law is attempting to create an office space in the kitchen and this is great inspiration.
Its gorgeous! Really nice, but simple transformation that doesn’t cost a lot etc. Lucky gal! ;-))
Love the big memo board, can’t wait to see the tutorial! Also, the pillow is gorgeous!! Great job! :)
Everything looks beautiful and fresh! I love the fabric thumbtacks ~ those are so cute.
What a great quick and easy way to update a space. Proves that even if you can’t do a major overhaul, a space can be beautiful and functional with just a little creativity and organization.
This is a beautiful space! The memo board and chair really helped cancel out the wallpaper!
Looks so great. I love those letter boxes and those fabric push pins are great!
How thoughtful of you! I love the space. Especially the memo board. I want to do something similar in my office. I’m also going to have to buy some of those big clips. Love em!
I remember Le Pens from jr. high! Didn’t know they still made those. The space looks beautiful and functional!
I love the garden stool with the cup of coffee on it..quaint. Those thumbtacks are adorable. Reminds me of ladybugs.
What a lucky girl! The simple improvements look fabulous!
Amazing difference! It looks really clean and fresh now — I totally need that box to hide my desk top clutter. Thanks for sharing!
