How to Decorate a Corner

February 2, 2012

After my post on making use out of small spaces, Elizabeth of Little Black Door left a comment sharing how she took a little corner of their home and made it a cozy art gallery.

Here’s the space before (complete with a “time-out chair”—well, that is functional, in my opinion!) . . .

And, this is how she transformed this little spot with a cheery pillow, a few accessories and lots of personal photographs and artwork:

I think the idea of hanging artwork corner-to-corner is a great one.  Makes such a big impact in a small spot.

Looks great, I have a wall at the top of my stairs that needs attention. This could be the answer. Thanks for the great ideas!

Hi, Emily, I am new to your blog. I was NOT expecting such a lovely makeover! The thing I like the most is that she kept the little table and the chait, matched the (mismatched) frames to them and now it all blends in!
