I recently received a copy of the new coffee table book, Southern Living Style, to review. (I love coffee table books, don’t you? I like being able to go back through them to look for different ideas I didn’t see the first time, and they just make the best tabletop accessories the rest of the time.)
This book is full of Southern style. Its overall feel is traditional, but shows you how to bring in some more modern elements. I marked some of my favorite pages:
The book also highlights several Southern designers, including Jane Scott Hodges, founder of Leontine Linens:
I also like how they break down certain photographs to show you how to recreate the look:
And, my favorites are the vintage furniture pieces that have been recovered/painted for a modern feel:

What a beautiful book! You can never have too many coffee table books. My friends threw me a wedding shower and since I love beautiful books so much it was the theme – they each wrote a note in their book – I love them so much!!!!

Looks like a great book to add to my collection. Love all the ideas you earmarked.
I love coffee table books too,e especially pretty ones like this one! and I love your table too!!
I can’t believe you turn down the page corners! You need to get some ‘page points’ to mark your favorite pages. :)
This book looks like it is filled with lovely ideas, I especially love the first two pages you flagged. Happy October!
I like all of those looks, too. I’ve never read Southern Living (mainly because I’m from Chicago) but maybe I need to track it down. It’s totally my style!
I haven’t seen that back yet. Thanks for the preview. And congrats on the new sponsor!
oooh will have to check it out!

Thanks for the preview. Just ordered a copy for my own coffee table!
I love coffee table books and this one looks so interesting – almost magazine-like in a hard cover.
