It’s Friday. I have laundry piled up. I’m in the middle of painting our bedroom. And, I’m waiting on drawer pulls to get here for the kitchen so I can start moving things in. . . So, let’s just talk about beauty products I’m loving instead.
Sweet almond oil—Some friends told me they’ve been using this as moisturizer, so I thought I’d give it a try. I was expecting it to be greasy like baby oil, but it soaks right in. I’m now using this on my face and neck as my main moisturizer (and then I put a sunscreen over it). I sometimes use it instead of lotion after my shower, too. And, although it’s suppose to be good for your hair, I would caution you to use very little. I thought I’d give it a try and may have gone overboard. I ended up wearing my hair in greasy strings to Wednesday night church. . . (PS–I ordered this huge bottle for $10 in January and still have nearly half left after using it almost every day.)
Revlon Photoready Airbrush Effect Foundation—It had been a while since I’d used a liquid foundation, but I’m loving this one. It blends really easily with good coverage. But, I don’t think it feels too heavy.
Wunderbrow—So, I guess those annoying Instagram ads do work. When this video popped up in my feed, I was mesmerized and went online right away to order it. It comes with liquid gel-like stuff you put on your brows first and a little wand that you use to work it through and shape them. It makes your brows look fuller and more “solid”, if that makes sense… I think I’ve just about gotten the hang of it.
Bare Minerals Ready Bronzer—This is my favorite bronzer I’ve used in a while because there’s no orange to it. I mainly use it under my cheekbones and to give myself a little color so I don’t look completely dead, even if I feel like it sometimes.
Ulta Lipstick (Cherry Picked)—I picked up this $8 lipstick on my way to the checkout counter, and it’s my new favorite color. Don’t let the bright red scare you. It goes on a little more sheer and doesn’t dry out my lips at all. It has some shine, and I don’t have to put anything on over it.
And, one more quick thing. Did you know Target now has a monthly beauty box? I ordered this month’s and got some pretty good stuff. (So far, I’ve tried the dry shampoo and lip lacquer and really like them both.) For $10, it’s a good way to try lots of different products you may not normally buy. And, it’s fun to get it in the mail. :) I just saw that this month’s box is already sold out, but linked to the products that were included. They’ll have another one next month . . .
