Lately, I’m really liking the look of traditional wingbacks recovered in bright, modern fabrics. A bold print on a really classic style can bring a fun surprise to the room. And, best of all, you can find lots of old wingbacks on Craigslist (usually the country blue or mauve variety), just waiting for their makeover.
The above two images are from designer Tobi Fairley. This girl knows how to re-cover a wingback!
And, here’s mine that I bought from Craigslist for $50 a few months ago. I bought this one (mainly because it was cheap) and because the color wasn’t terrible and was just neutral enough to hang out in that fabric until I can fit re-upholstering into my budget. Now, I’m still debating on what to do with it.
Anybody had a wingback recovered lately? Would love to hear about it.
And, now without further ado: the winner of my first giveaway. Drumroll, please. . .
